FABWELT — CHAINLINK INTEGRATION

We’re excited to announce that Fabwelt will integrate Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on its gaming platforms and in-game NFT technology. By integrating Chainlink’s industry-leading decentralized oracle network, Fabwelt can obtain access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed for our unique in-game NFT technology.

Fabwelt’s technology allows the use of NFTs as utilities on gaming platforms — it utilizes existing NFT technology on the Polygon network. Imagine a game world, which players can modify and change as they see fit for their game strategy. Fabwelt in-game NFT technology will enable this experience. The technology gives a player who owns a unique, rare NFT an incentive for all kinds of game rules and settings during the game. With the upcoming Arsenal game release, which uses our in-game NFT technology, Fabwelt will integrate Chainlink VRF for secure and auditable randomness for arbitrary starting points and tools in the game. With upcoming Arsenal tournaments, we needed a secure and truly fair randomizing system.

To take gameplay to the next level, Fabwelt introduces a new fantasy gaming platform with in-game NFT technology. The gaming concept motivates fantasy players by rewarding winners and allowing them to participate in designing their own game rules. Players can interact with each other over the gaming portals and rooms. Chainlink VRF provides secure randomness to allocate on-field players in fantasy gaming if a user is offline after joining the portal. Ultimately this capability enables a more exciting, transparent, and fraud-proof user experience, as users can have peace of mind about how rewards are distributed. Moreover, due to the randomness, it comes out as a surprise to users in revealing the rewards. Within Fabwelt’s Chainlink-enabled game design, once fantasy gaming rooms are saturated with users, Chainlink VRF will randomly assign any available on-field player if users do not perform their tasks in choosing on-field players, ensuring verifiably fair gameplay for all participants.

In order to provide transparency, fairness, and a positive adrenaline rush to our users, we need access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit. However, RNG solutions for smart contracts require several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions using on-chain data like block hashes can be exploited by blockchain miners, while off-chain RNG solutions like traditional data providers are opaque and don’t provide users with definitive proof about the integrity of the process.

After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink VRF because it’s based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that guarantee the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.

Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Fabwelt smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This provides our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly on-chain that cannot be tampered with by the oracle, outside entities, or the Fabwelt teamFabwelt will continue integrating Chainlink VRF in future projects as its secure randomizer.

“Chainlink is one of the most prominent projects in the crypto space, and we are excited to integrate their VRF technology. It solves randomness concerns and creates a fair and sustainable ecosystem for the users participating over multiple gaming platforms.” — Abhishek Pegada, Chief Executive Officer, Fabwelt.

About Chainlink

Chainlink is the industry standard oracle network for powering hybrid smart contracts. Chainlink Decentralized Oracle Networks provide developers with the largest collection of high-quality data sources and secure off-chain computations to expand the capabilities of smart contracts on any blockchain. Managed by a global, decentralized community, Chainlink currently secures billions of dollars in value for smart contracts across decentralized finance (DeFi), insurance, gaming, and other major industries.

Chainlink is trusted by hundreds of organizations, from global enterprises to projects at the forefront of the blockchain economy, to deliver definitive truth via secure, reliable oracle networks.
